Do you have a dream to share? Share your story and turn dreams into reality

turn-dream-realityI am so delighted that you are here and that you are following the Dreaming Sophia Blog! That tells me that you are a dreamer like me and that you have a passion for art and Italy and adventure. Do you also have a dream you would like to turn into reality?

For many years I had a secret desire. It was to write a novel. But, instead of acting on my dream, I kept my idea locked up inside of me. Then I began meeting accomplished women who were authors who encouraged me to write, and I started to think I too could turn my dream into reality.

Then finally one day I declared out loud, “I’m going to write a book!” As soon as I voiced my desire, it seemed a foregone conclusion. Something clicked in my head and suddenly I had clear objective and a new path began unfolding before me. I found once I had taken the first step on this rutted road, and the more time and effort I put into my project, the clearer my path became. Sure there were a few misteps, but that was just part of the journey!

Just as Sophia learns in the book, I discovered that by expressing hopes and dreams and saying them out loud, the universe conspires to help make them come true. It does indeed work this way!

After a two year process, “Dreaming Sophia” was finally published. In Italian to give birth to a baby you would say: “Ho dato alla luce un bambino.” Quite literally this means: “I brought into the light a child.” I think that is a lovely way of expressing a labor of love. That is exactly what publishing a book feels like. I believe I have created something unique and couldn’t be more proud of the work that went into realizing my dream.

Now I’d like to ask you, my readers: What is your dream?

Do you have a “sogno nel cassetto” – a special dream in a drawer? What is your deepest desire, passion or that “special thing” you would like to accomplish? Do you love Italy? Do you fantasize about traveling there? Do you have a project you would like to realize? Perhaps it isn’t even related to Italy at all. It doesn’t matter.

I would like to hear from you. I would like to share
your story on the Dreaming Sophia Blog!

I want to know more about you and give you the opportunity to share your dreams with me and other Dreaming Sophia fans! I want to tell your story right here on the Dreaming Sophia blog. This is your opportunity to tell the world what you want to do! Who knows? It might open up new paths for you, just as it did for me.
