Parole, Parole, Parole! Oggi parliamo della parola: ABBIOCCO.
Italians have a special word for the drowsy sensation you feel after eating a large meal and you struggle to keep your eyes open. It is Abbiocco.
"Dopo il pranzo di domenica dalla nonna mi è venuto un abbiocco e mi sono sdraiato sul divano."
"After Sunday dinner at Grandma's, I got really drowsy and laid down on the couch.”

ATTENZIONE! Don't get Abbiocco and Albicocco mixed up. Although they look and sound kind of similar they are very different words.
Albicocco = Apricot Tree
